Steps for research partners overseeing youth for the pilot evaluation project

If you received access to Shady Grove, follow the steps below to set up game access and research participation for youth.

log in using the credentials provided to you by your contact in child welfare.
click the button in the portal to generate a code. the youth can play either on your device (just press the play button) or you can display a QR code the youth scans to play on their own device.
MAKE SURE TO WRITE DOWN THE ID AND THE YOUTH’S NAME
Youth will use this ID to access the pre-game survey and the post-game survey, as well as gift card payments for research participation.
- Youth consent or decline research*
- Youth fill out survey (approximate time)
- Youth play the game
- Youth fill out the post-survey
  Youth who decline to participate in the research can still play the game. They will not be asked to complete surveys.
After each youth completes a study or gameplay session, we ask all caseworkers to complete a brief survey about your experience overseeing gameplay, the youth’s experiences playing the game, and the setting in which the gameplay session took place. HERES THE LINK
